A little February update

I've been MIA here this month for a number of reasons.  First and foremost: we're moving!  We found a condo to rent, so that kept us all busy for a while.  I dream of gardens and green things growing in good tilled earth... but I'll settle for this in the interim while we gear up for #3.  (THAT is going to be another adventure in itself and too many adventures don't sit well with me.)

I will post pics of our new place once we move in.  We are all excited of course, especially the little ones.  They are loving every minute of time with their grandparents and aunts.  And yet, they are looking forward to our new home with just as much enthusiasm.  Hurrah!

We may have been busy, but not busy enough to forgo some sweet V-day cookies.  Little ones always bring sunshine with them, despite the tears and trials.  :o)

A little animal love

I have made the leap from simply crocheting to pattern making.  I know.  It's a big step for me.  My head is just too full of ideas to sit complacently!  After making this mouse, modified slightly from here, I have developed a bunny pattern.  I am just trying to decide which ears work best with the bunny. Floppy or alert?  I'm "leaning" toward floppy.  (No pun intended!)

The mouse was a gift for a sweet little newborn girl.  But I have got so many requests to make more that I'm thinking of going into business.  Seriously!  What could be more fun than selling little animals on Etsy?  Work from home, no deadlines (minus the self-imposed), minimum expense, flexible hours... everything a mom could ask for!  :o)  A gal can dream...

Hope your day is full of love.

Snowstorm

Such a snowy day!  (Even Baby 3 is kicking up his or her own little storm inside!)  It has been snowing all day... starting from last night.  We must have accumulated about 20 cm by now and  have shoveled the driveway collectively about three times.  Nothing like what Boston will see though.  Hopefully everyone out there is bunkered down cozily for the snow.

I am sitting in a cozy chair by the wood stove watching the white flakes coat the trees and everything in sight.  D is preparing the kids for bed while I write and there is a sort of comfortable lull in their rhythm as they wind down for bed.

I look at their precious little faces during the day, with huge wondering eyes and eager little hands and my heart is full.  What blessings.  I know I fall short of being a good mom everyday, but they're so full of love that they don't remember and run to me with smiling faces and sweet kisses.  My little babies.
